Bryan Flint

With a consulting approach rooted in the belief that community engagement is not just about outreach—it’s about deep listening and creating space for community voice, especially with historically excluded and underrepresented communities. Bryan helps organizations move beyond transactional approaches to stakeholder engagement and toward authentic, long-term relationships built on accountability, transparency, and shared purpose.
Throughout his career—with organizations like Tahoma Bird Alliance, the Office of the Commissioner of Public Lands, the Greater Metro Parks Foundation, and Sound Outreach—he has worked across lines of race, class, and geography to connect institutions with community partners in ways that advance equity and achieve results.

Key highlights include:

  • Community Organizing: Working on both sides of the Cascades and the Puget Sound, he worked with diverse grassroots communities to raise the gun age in Washington, secure funding for after-school programs, and reform social service delivery at the local level.
  • Environmental Advocacy: Mobilizing diverse coalitions to protect open space and natural habitats in Pierce County.
  • Community Engagement: Engaged youth, communities of color, and local families in shaping Tacoma’s Eastside Community Center that reflects the community’s needs and aspirations, raising over $10 million in the process.
  • Policy Making: Fostered, as a leading voice on the Tacoma’s Public Utility Board, more robust community engagement on critical issues of rates and budget, and the future of the Click! fiberoptic network.
